PREPARATORY DEPARTMENT

The preparatory department of the South Ural State Humanitarian and Pedagogical University teaches Russian language to foreign citizens and prepares them for admission to the University.

The full cost of a one-year training program is 95,000 RUB, the cost of a one-and-a-half-year training program is 160,000 RUB.

To enroll in a University at the preparatory department you have to pay 30% of the tuition fee. This means that for admission to the program of 1 year you have to pay 28,500 RUB, for admission to the program of 1.5 years you have to pay 48,000 RUB.

Documents required for admission to the preparatory department of SUSHPU:

  1. Completed: 
  2. Passport (original + translation into Russian);
  3. Education documents (originals + translation of school/college/University certificates of graduation into Russian or into English).

At the end of training at the preparatory department, you receive a certificate of completion of training, which is the basis for visa extension in case of admission to a professional educational program.

BACHELOR'S, MASTER'S AND POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMS

Documents required for admission to bachelor's, master's and postgraduate programs of SUSHPU:

  1. Passport;
  2. Notarized translation of the passport into Russian;
  3. Diploma or certificate of previous training;
  4. Notarized translation of a diploma or certificate into Russian;
  5. Certificate of medical examination (you have to undergo it on the territory of the Russian Federation);
  6. Completed:

 

ARRIVAL IN RUSSIA

Visa and visa invitation

The invitation letter from the University is issued to the applicant within a month. After that it is necessary to apply to the relevant consular office of the Russian Federation at the place of your permanent residence in order to get a visa.

Visa and ticket should be sent to the International Affairs Department of SUSHPU in advance, before arrival in Russia. Later the visa may be extended up to 1 year. State fee will be 1,920 RUB.

Medical examination

In accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, foreign citizens are required to undergo a medical examination upon arrival in Russia. The medical examination includes tests for HIV, syphilis, tuberculosis, infectious diseases and drug use. If a foreign citizen fails to undergo a medical examination within the specially allocated time he may be deported from the country and entry to the territory of the Russian Federation will be closed for up to 5 years.

The approximate cost of a medical examination is 7,500 RUB.

Medical insurance

One of the necessary documents for foreign citizens on the territory of the Russian Federation is a medical insurance. It will be useful for foreigners in case of illness on the territory of the Russian Federation and when undergoing a medical examination.

The cost of medical insurance varies depending on the region of stay. The average cost is 6,000 RUB. It can be issued after arrival in Russia.

Dormitory and registration

SUSHPU has two dormitories for student accommodation.

The cost of 10 months of residence is 13,900 RUB. There are two options for dormitory fees: 

1) per academic year;

2) per 6 months.

To make a registration you should apply to the Foreign Citizens Department of SUSHPU. We are located at the address: Prospekt Lenina 69, office No. 239.

The University allows foreign students to live not only in the dormitory, but also to rent apartment (it should be located only in Chelyabinsk city). In this case, your landlord have to register you at the place of residence. Remember: lack of registration is a violation of the law of the Russian Federation and it entails administrative liability.
